Dr. Gyo-June Kim (right) and Dr. Ik-Nam Kim (left). This photo was taken on July 30, 1909, when Gyo-June Kim was promoted to the senior army surgeon (Major). The two met as teacher and student at Uihakgyo, the first modern medical school and became lifelong partners.
